Digital advertising is the way of the future when it comes to increasing traffic to your website. What seemed to not matter 10 years ago, is now one of the strongest portions of any advertising strategy. Search engines and ads will make or break most businesses.

But every business is different and has different target customers. Here’s everything you need to know to have the best digital advertising strategy for your business.

Table of Contents

  • Organic and Paid Traffic
  • Ad Campaigns
  • The Importance of Social Media
  • Cater Your Digital Advertising Strategy to Your Audience

Organic and Paid Traffic

Organic traffic is the customer who had no intention of finding you in the first place. While there is no such bad thing as free traffic to your companies website, there is such a thing as inconclusive traffic. Organic traffic is random and while still beneficial, it does not necessarily turn into more customers.

Paid traffic is the ability to target your specific set of customers. These will be people already looking for your type of business and will have seen one of your ads that drives them to your website, rather than simply stumbling upon it by chance.

Ad Campaigns

This is where ad campaigns come into play. Running ads is a form of paid traffic that focuses on converting a passerby into full-blown returning customers.

A customer will typically follow a pattern before deciding to follow through with your product or service.

They will first look to understand your business, called awareness. They will then determine if your business if the right fit for you based on how you present yourself and if your business solves their problem, this is called evaluation. They will then take the action and convert it into your customer if you are deemed fit for their issue at hand, this being called a conversion.

The Importance of Social Media

Social media is the basis of any good digital advertising business strategy. Google, Facebook, and Youtube will be your best friends in ad campaigns.

Google helps creates customers from those who already have a problem. They are going to Google to find an answer, and you want to be the one who provides said answer.

Facebook relies on passerby customers. These are people scrolling through their feed that see your ad and if it aligns with a problem they are facing, they may click on your ad to see how you can help them.

YouTube works similarly to a TV ad, where you can target specific audiences. But rather than trying to find a local audience, you can focus on anyone who may have been searching for videos similar to your service.

Cater Your Digital Advertising Strategy to Your Audience

Regardless of your product or service, a digital advertising strategy is the only way to stay afloat at the time of the internet. Without a good strategy, you can only rely on word-of-mouth marketing, which is good but does not live up to the same standard it once did.
