Compared to other franchises, Star Trek has survived more killer blows. Star Trek’s original series got canceled just when it was beginning to find its way. However, the Star Trek movies developed a noticeable fan base around the world. All-Star Trek movies are worth watching, for they are that good.

Trekkies are eagerly waiting to see if there will be a release of another Star Trek movie as they are missing a journey to space. If you are a fan of Sci-Fi, you should look into Star Trek movies, for they are entertaining and worth your time.

Star Trek: The Motion Pictures

Year of release: 1979

Klingon cruisers are destroyed by a powerful alien spacecraft as it tries to make its way to Federation space. The alien spacecraft is spotted as it is approaching earth. Here James Kirk, with his crew, has to do whatever it takes to intercept it.

This movie deserves all the credits for it’s the one that started the special film franchise.

Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan

Director: Nicholas Meyer

Year of release:  1982

Khan Noonien Singh has a powerful weapon, and it’s up to Admiral Kirk and his crew to stop him from using it. It’s by far the best movie ever made by Star Trek. So don’t hold back from watching it.

Star Trek III: The Search for Spock

Director: Leonard Nimoy

Year of release: 1984

Admiral Kirk, together with his crew, returns to earth to repair the ship. After arriving, they are shocked to realize that the enterprise is about to be withdrawn. Dr. McCoy, on the other hand, is acting strange.

It is an exciting sequel following straight from the previous film.

Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home

Director: Leonard Nimoy

Year of release: 1986

To save planet earth, Admiral James T. Kirk and his crew have to travel back in time. Why? They are trying to retrieve the only beings who can communicate with a whale.

Trying to save the earth and humanity as aliens attempt to destroy the atmosphere by drying the oceans.

This sends an eco-friendly message to the world. It turns out to be among the best Star Trek films.

Star Trek V: The Final Frontier

Director: William Shatner

Year of release: 1989

Attempting to meet a God on a mythical planet, Spock’s half-brother gets forced to take people, hostage. Because he needs to have a ship that will enable him to travel to the mythical planet to meet Sha Ka Ree, they must do all they can to stop him.

Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country

Director:  Nicholas Meyer

Year of release: 1991

Before retiring, both McCoy and Kirk get accused of assassinating the high chancellor of Klingon and are sentenced to prison. It’s now up to the crew to help them escape.

It’s like a political story, a reflection of the Cold War and the downfall of the Soviet Union. But with a touch of Star Trek making, it is one of the best movies. A piece of art.

Star Trek: Generations

Year of release: 1994

An insane scientist is about to destroy the universe. Both captains Picard and Kirk must work together and try to stop him.

Star Trek: First Contact

Director: John Flakes

Year of release: 1996

It is one of the best entertaining movies, enterprise everything to defeat one of scariest opponents ever the borg. It is a movie worth your time.

Star Trek: Insurrection

Director: Jonathan Frakes

Year of release: 1998

Captain Picard begins a rebellion after learning of the conspiracy against the inhabitants of a unique planet.

Star Trek: Nemesis

Director: Stuart Baird

Year of release:  2002

Captain Picard, together with his crew, goes to visit the leader of Romulans. After reaching their destination, they learn that Shinzon, the leader of Romulans, is a clone of Captain Picard.

It’s such great entertainment.

Star Trek

Director: J.J. Abrams

Year of release: 2009

An attack on the USS Kelvin by a Romulan Commander has killed Kirk’s father. So now it’s down to Captain Kirk to save humanity and planet earth.

Year of release: 2016

The USS crew reaches a mysterious planet where they encounter a new ruthless enemy.
