Best VPN in China 2022

Now the question comes down to what the best VPN in China is. The good news is that I’m in China, I’ve used over five different VPN companies, I know what makes a good VPN, and everything you need to know is right here. Read on!

So when you choose a VPN you need to look at a few things. These would be speed, reliability, price, and user-friendliness. I’ve been in China for about four years now, and as someone who’s never really satisfied, I frequently switch companies and run a blog here from china so I know what counts when looking for the Best VPN in China.

Fastest VPN in China

The best VPN in China for speed is definitely StrongVPN. They’re a very large VPN company and have been around forever. They’ve got just about every VPN protocol for every kind of Internet connection device you could think of. There are many different VPN packages they offer and have specific packages for users in China and countries that deal with Internet censorship. You will pay for it though – because you can’t use PPTP or L2TP in China you’ve got to get their SSL package which is going to cost you almost double what Astrill charges. If you want super fast and reliable connection speeds and don’t mind the cost, the StrongVPN is definitely the way to go.

Most User-Friendly VPN

For user-friendliness, the best VPN in China is 12VPN. This is the VPN I’ve enjoyed using the most because it’s very low maintenance. I’ve switched computers many times over the years and even tried it on my iPhone. Download and installation are almost instant, and there’s no VPN interface to mess with. All you do you double click the VPN icon on your desktop, pick a server to connect to and then leave it running in the background. Their prices change frequently, but they offer a lite and personal service which usually ranges from fifty-one hundred bucks for the year. Their customer service team is also the most friendly of all the services I’ve tried. For anyone who hates technology but wants to unblock sites in china, 12VPN is the way to go.

Best VPN in China For Reliability

For reliability, I’d choose iVPN. All of the VPNs featured here all are high-quality VPN’s you can trust. But for the sake of reviewing another very good VPN, I’ll add the iVPN service here as well. Their site is easy to understand and although they have several price plans and VPN protocols available, they make choosing a VPN relatively quick and easy. It is definitely one of the best VPNs in China.

When a VPN isn’t Going To Cut it

I’ve found that recently, some of my favorite VPN services are blocked in China. Well, the VPNs work great, but for new users, it may be impossible to access the site and sign up for the service. Kind of a catch-22. You need a VPN to sign up for a VPN. This isn’t true for the whole country, and not for every VPN service, but for example, I just checked my 12VPN and StrongVPN links at the review pages this article links to and both sites were inaccessible without a VPN. Go ahead and try, but there’s another option.

There’s a web-based service called Securities. I recently had a chance to try them out and we were surprised at how well it worked. Instead of downloading something to your computer like with a VPN, a link is sent to your email, and you can access their secure browser from anywhere. This is especially cool for iPhone and iPad users who want to access Facebook and Gmail on their phones as well as laptops. There’s no “restriction” like with VPNs because your internet censorship bypassing tool is not assigned to one computer. Click the link and surf the free internet.
