How do you deal with a right or wrong issue in a school? A lot of cases arise from a school that may disrupt the learning process. Matters such as punching in the classroom and yelling out when responding to a question, among other wrongs, should be addressed to prevent re-occurrence. There are three categories of the domain that dictates a right or wrong. The first one is a domain that describes right and wrong based on the effect of such things on others. The second one is a convention domain that determines a mistake or not depending on changeable determinants such as traditional, social, and rules. The third one is a personal domain that involves individual choices on what is wrong or right like in a situation when students purchase essays for college.

The three factors are essential when addressing ethical issues in the classroom. They determine the way you respond to challenges and foster moral development. We shall be looking into how to solve the ethical problems in the school.

  • Address any transgression with the right domain
  • Incorporate different domain into the learner’s education curriculum
  • Encourage learners to appreciate other individual’s perspective
  • Conclusion

Address any transgression with the right domain

You don’t need to rebuke a child by reminding them that their action is against the classroom or school rules. You need to go further and explain why that rule exists and the consequences of the mistake. For instance, you need to tell them that insulting others is wrong because it hurt others. The domain explains how a transgression causes harm to others. It is a domain you can use when explaining to a learner why it is wrong to offend them, colleagues.

Incorporate different domain into the learner’s education curriculum

Consider what you are teaching to the learners in the domain point of view. Depending on the type of subject, ensure you are incorporating some aspects of the domain in both. The fields help learners acquire some positive morals along with education. A question on exchanging the role of women in society can blend well with the domain when teaching a social subject.

Encourage learners to appreciate other individual’s perspective

Some controversial topics elicit conflict reactions and intense debate among students. Such issues can be best when teaching learners how to respect another opinion. You can initiate a discussion on nuclear war, colonization, race, or religion and let the learners contribute to the topic. During the debate, ensure that you teach the learners to respect each other’s opinions.

It is essential to help the learners appreciate others’ opinions. It makes the learners see the world from a different perspective. A lesson on respecting opinion enables learners to gain cognitive and critical thinking skills. The skills will understand the reason for the individual’s opinion other than actively opposing them.

You don’t need to oppose everything that is not in line with your perspective. The teacher should find ways of encouraging the learner to get such facts right. A teacher should support learners in understanding how to break the argument into parts while articulating the reason for agreeing or disagreeing with a particular opinion. By critical analysis of different perspectives, learners can understand the reality of the world and how it affects others differently.
