How to Complete the Fortnite Transformers Quest for Week 1

Autobots, roll out!

A major collaboration awaits players as they start Fortnite Chapter 4: Season 3. Thanks to the Transformers collab, Epic Games has granted us the coveted Optimus Prime skin, new quests, and many more. In hindsight, Fortnite has always had many interesting collaborations that brought other cosmetic items in the Fortnite Item Shop and challenges in the game, so it makes sense for Season 3 to keep the content flowing with another crossover.

In Chapter 4: Season 3, you can opt to unlock the Optimus Prime skin for your Fortnite account by purchasing the latest Battle Pass. However, since the Optimus Prime skin is at the very last tier of this season’s pass, you’ll have to earn tons of Battle Stars before you can get the infamous Autobot. While you’re busy grinding levels, you can complete Transformers quests to get free Transformer-themed rewards. These quests will appear in the battle royale over the next couple of weeks, but today, we’ll focus on the Week 1 quest.

All Week 1 Transformer Quests

There are five parts to the Transformer quests in Fortnite, and each part will appear weekly. Here are the Transformer quests for Week 1:

Each of these quests will reward you 30,000 XP upon completion.

Emote After Destroying A Pump or Gas Can

It’s not a Transformers event without having things go boom! You can ignite a fiery explosion around a massive chunk of area by shooting a pump or gas can at one of the many gas stations found on the island. Thankfully, these gas stations are easy to spot as you traverse the map, so they shouldn’t be too difficult to find. After shooting a pump or gas can, simply emote after causing the explosion to complete the challenge. You can use any emote you have in your emote wheel, so don’t worry if you only have one.

Acquire A Cybertron Cannon in Three Different Matches

The Cybertron Cannon is a new Fortnite weapon worthy of the autobots. This powerful weapon can be found from Loot Chests and floor loot across the island, making it relatively easy to find despite boasting enough power to wipe out an entire team. The cannon can launch quick, explosive projectiles—-similar to a grenade launcher of sorts.

Travel A 1,000m Distance By Using Vehicles or Mounts

What better way to explore Fortnite’s Chapter 4: Season 3 map than by using a new mode of transportation? New secrets hide in the crannies of the jungle, so it’s best to cover as much ground as you can by hopping onto a mount or into a vehicle to ride around the island.

You’ll be pleased to hear that Raptors have officially returned to the battle royale. You can mostly find them in the new jungle biome that’s opened up in the middle of the map. But hey—if you’re not keen on covering the 1,000m distance by riding a dinosaur, plenty of vehicles can be found in other landmarks. If you want a ride that uses wheels, we recommend going to Mega City or any gas station for a surefire chance of quickly finding a vehicle.

Deal 500 Damage Using A Kinetic Boomerang

Accuracy isn’t essential if you’ve got a weapon that comes right back to you. Another new weapon—the Kinetic Boomerang—has debuted in Fortnite Chapter 4: Season 3. The boomerang will damage the enemies that it strikes in its flight. You can either wait for the weapon to return to you or recall it early to trigger a small explosion. If you get the timing right, you can potentially down an enemy with the explosion when they least expect it.

Collecting the First Transformer Token 13 Times

Much like any Transformers movie, this set of quests will have you complete a race. The race starts in the Ice Islets near Brutal Bastion and descends down into the jungle, where it’ll end at The Apparatus, just south of Creeky Compound.

If you want to complete this quest in the Battle Royale mode, land at the starting point in Icy Islets. From there, you’ll see an Autobot Icon floating near one of the ramps. Drive or walk through this icon to collect it. Once you’ve done that, the icon will disappear, and a new one will appear a short distance from where you’ve collected the first icon. Follow the icons until you collect all thirteen of the Transformer Tokens.
